DERRY DIOCESAN CATECHETICAL CENTRE
For many children, this year, Ash Wednesday will be very different as they will be unable to receive the Cross of Ashes on their forehead. To help children reflect on this day, we have developed a prayer and art activity to be used in conjunction with (LENT 2021 — Drawing God (drawing-god.com).
The resources encourage children to take time on Ash Wednesday to remember that we are all made in God’s image and likeness. However sometimes we forget that and turn away from God but that the season of Lent helps us to turn again towards God, through his Son Jesus.
