The guidance material on COVID close contacts and our procedures for handling them, communicated to you yesterday in the September Newsletter is no longer valid.
Late yesterday evening all Principals received a notification from the Education minister stating that the 'Operational Guidance on managing positive COVID-19 notifications in the school setting' version 19/08/21 had been withdrawn.
From today the Public Health Agency (PHA) Contact Tracing Service will undertake a more targeted approach and will only contact Principals for assistance in certain circumstances, for example, to obtain parent or staff contact information.
