Primary 6 spent a very enjoyable Monday morning in the Burnavon Theatre in Cookstown for the final celebration of the Mid Ulster Schools Together Project. We travelled with our partner school Maghera Primary and we joined the eight other schools who had taken part in the project.
Over the course of the project the children have gained a better understanding of the cultural diversities which exist in our communities and they have learned to embrace differences.
Today each school performed a drum routine with Joe from The Gathering Drum. The children played African drums which are all different and when they are played together the sound they make is terrific.
The children feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to take part in the project and have made many new friends.
