P5 enjoyed another fantastic session today with their friends from Maghera Primary School.
Today's session was science based, linked to Chapter 4- The Cook Up. The pupils created their own erupting volcano through the use of a chemical reaction. The pupils built their own volcano, moulding clay around a plastic bottle, then adding a mixture of vinegar, red food dye and fairy liquid into the bottle. The pupils then added soda bicarbonate to their mixture, creating a chemical reaction and their erupting volcano!!
